Sponsor a Rescued Pug

The following pugs will not be placed for adoption and will remain at Pug Rescue SA.
If you would like to sponsor them by donating towards their care this would be most welcome.

Pug Rescue SA has a policy of a “right to a quality life” – these Pugs are still living a quality life but require special care. Although we have adopted out special needs pugs not many people want to take on this responsibility.

When making a donation towards sponsoring one of our special needs pugs then please use your name and the name of the pug as reference when you make a deposit into the Pug Rescue SA bank account.

Makulu aka Kudjo

Estimated age, 14 years

Makulu aka Kudjo

This is Makulu he is a retiree at Pug Rescue South Africa.

His owners said their garden was too small for him.

Mishi

Mishi

Mishi is another retiree at Pug Rescue South Africa.

She is a very sweet girl and is very attached to Cheryl...

Pugsley

Pugsley

Pugsley is another one of the senior citizens at Pug Rescue South Africa.

He came to us via a vet who would not put him to sleep and asked the owner's permission to sent him to Pug Rescue SA.

He has degeneration between his T11 and T13 discs and is currently undergoing Hydrotherapy.

Buddy & Lulu

Buddy's estimated age, 7 years / Lulu's estimated age, 11 years

BuddyBuddy and Lulu were brought into Pug Rescue together.Lulu

Buddy is visually challenged and Lulu only has a little peripheral vision. When Lulu is left to roam around freely she barks all the time and we are sure this is her way of protecting herself, she also regularly bumps into the other pugs as she is not able to see them. She loves to play with toys. The both know their way around at Pug Rescue as long as we do not move anything! Lulu and Buddy adore each other and have lots of fun together therefore we will not split them. They have to have Tacrolimus drops in their eyes twice a day.
