Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Everyone loved you - you had a will of your own.  Our home will never be the same without you our precious Bobby, we have shed so many tears but none were able to bring you back.

We will always love you and we will miss you always.  Your spot on the chair willalways remain empty Bobbily.

Harry Potter

DOB est 1996 – 7 December 2011

Harry Potter

Harry you lived at Pug Rescue SA for just over a year.  You were found wondering around bewildered on a main road and we offered to take you in.

You were a real old boy, we had to remove your eye and all your teeth but you were happy with us.  You got the name of Harry Potter as you just loved to potter around at Pug Rescue.  You loved your food and your warm bed and especially loved your cuddles.

The last two week of your life you were no longer a happy old boy and you lost your appetite.

Harry Potter  you will always be a legend at Pug Rescue and we will miss you always.

Figo

20 September 2004 - 10 July 2010

FigoMy prescious Figo...
You came into my life almost 2 years ago. You were left behind by your owners. I came to your rescue. You ended up rescuing me with never ending love and bubbly personality.
That day I saw you at the pug show, I was immediately in love.

Your sudden passing has left a void in my heart. My angel I miss you so much. You were such a happy child, prancing around the house with your big brown eyes always wagging your tail. I will miss your enthusiasm at meal time, the way your head tilted just at the word "biscuit".

Figo thank you for touching my heart, you were a pleasure and I could never have asked for a more gentle soul. My angel, may your gentle soul rest in peace. Apart of me will never understand why you had to leave so sudden. I guess it's because Angels are only borrowed to us.

Goodbye my Feegsta. Love Mommy

Lucky

DOB Unknown - 20 April 2010 (estimated age 7 years and 9 months)

LuckyLucky was a delight in our home for 7 years and 9 months. He sadly passed away on Tuesday April 20 of Lymph node cancer.

He came to us with his sister as rescued pugs from Guguletu in Cape Town when they were 7 weeks old.

He was the most delightful and docile one that just loved being around people. Always wanting to touch some part of one of us and was very caring towards his sister.

WE really miss him very much and we and his sister morns his death.

Rosie

DOB Unknown - 5 February 2010 (estimated age 12 years)

RosieOur darling Rosie, unfortunately you arrived at Pug Rescue too late for us to help you my baby.

We did the best we could for you and kept you as comfortable as we could for the 11 days we had you.

You crossed over in the arms of someone who loved you. Now you can run around and play with all the other pugs at the rainbow bridge.

Your ashes will be kept in a special place and you will always be remembered.

You will always have a special place at Pug Rescue - we fell in love with you instantly.

Fudge

DOB Unknown - 10 June 2009 (estimated age 12 years)

FudgeYou came into our lives in December 2000, skinny, sick and abandoned, but quickly crept into all our hearts and became our one-eyed darling.

You gave us so much joy and love and you will never be forgotten. Thank you for all the laughter, adoration and love you gave.

Until we meet again on the Rainbow Bridge. Rest in peace - our sweet girl, Fudgie.

Emma

DOB unknown - 12 October 2008

EmmaEmma was our special pug, but for only 2 months.

She was so adorable, sweet and loving and well behaved, truly the best dog, but she had one fault - she was a runner. Any opportunity she could get, she would go running out at full speed. We always managed to catch her, except on that one fateful day in October last year.

She ran across a road, to see the dogs across the road, and when she saw us, she came running back faithfully, and straight into the traffic. I still blame myself, but she ran so fast, she was impossible to catch. We rushed her to the vet, and we hoped and prayed for her, but they couldn't help Emma. We lost her, but she will stay in our hearts forever.

Choppy

DOB unknown - 9 May 2008 (estimated age 11 years)

ChoppyOur precious Choppy, your owners abandoned you and we wonder if they had any idea how ill you were but the last five months of your life you experienced love, warmth and comfort at Pug Rescue.

We miss your cuddles and you will always have a special place in our hearts. Rest in Peace precious Choppy.
